Holding Our Breath
Today, we are all on edge. Still, you have a purpose, and the hope that tomorrow will come, despite the countdown to destruction tonight.
I’ve said enough about the reasons we are at war with Iran. Iran would kill all who oppose their view of Islam if we believe what the Republic says and does. I’ve heard beloved thinkers wonder if the Islamic Republic of Iran might be rational actors. They imagine them more akin to the 1980s USSR, despite their words and deeds. Iran states clearly, almost daily, the need to destroy the Great Satan (the USA) and the Little Satan (Israel) that ruin the world. Yet, they send their children to the USA to escape the deprivation in Iran, as they know their reign must end in destruction or war. Perhaps they are rational, but not rational enough to save most of the Iranian people. They don’t need their people, and they don’t need us. Instead, they want to encourage the international elites to further condemn America’s military actions. To achieve this, the regime encouraged their people to guard their infrastructure. Will it work? If the people refuse regime orders, they will kill enough Iranians to force those left to become human shields against American missiles. Some may still be true believers, but after tens of thousands of protesters were gunned down, belief is enforced at gunpoint. Horrifying.
Yet, Iran is not alone in its gloom. American education has cultivated an entire population who believe that we are watching the fall of America, if not all humanity. While the left has worn sackcloth and ashes since Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth”, the Tucker right and the Marjorie Taylor Green isolationists have created their own doomer cults, now declaring Trump the Antichrist. I expect they have carved stars in their foreheads and are wearing the ceremonial garb of Trump Sneakers and star spangled robes with the cyanide pill in the front pocket for when the Trump-induced rapture begins. Grim.
In other words, the world has lost its damned mind. While our enemies prematurely celebrated the success of their long standing propaganda, China is busy convincing its people that they enjoy high gas prices, so that they can withstand the ongoing economic meltdown. I’m sure their control over their population will hold up long enough for America to turn into the Mad Max state they’ve been wanting for years. It could work. Maybe.
But are things that bad? Truly, they are for the Iranian people who wonder if the IRGC will engage in mass execution soon. That should strengthen your resolve against Iran’s monstrous government. Still, if it doesn’t, and all goes according to the plans that Trump and Israel supposedly don’t have (according to almost all journalists), perhaps freedom starts tomorrow. Then we will hear the stories of the Iranian people soon, God willing.
If we don’t, if tonight is a time of terror, then all you can do is pray. But, American friends, what do you pray for? Do you pray for the safety of your family? Do you pray that your job will be there still, and life will go on tomorrow as it did today? If so, imagine that this is all the Iranians want as well. I’m troubled more by those who, inside of warm houses in America, pray for the death of their country, American soldiers, and their president. With envy and resentment, but also, hopelessness for the future, many pray for destruction.
This death cult we see in the Iranian Republic is as alive in America, with many praying for the end of their suffering here and there. As we count down to the 8 PM deadline, we need to acknowledge the death cult countdown, and offer the hopeless a new reason to live. What is it—what is your purpose? Quick:
